A Little Post Before School

I don't have school for another.. hour. Jeez.. that's a long time. I have to leave in half an hour, though. So I figured I had enough time to make a "good morning" blog.
The topic of today's blog shall be some of my style inspirations. Maybe you guys will share the same. Maybe you'll differ. So.. here goes it.

 First is winged eyeliner. I think it's just so pretty and glamorous. I'm actually really inspired by Audrey Hepburn. Especially her style in "Two for the Road".

 Nude colored nails. I can't stand when my nails are long, though I think those are so pretty. But Barbara Streisand wore nude nails in "Funny Girl" (Audrey had them in "Two for the Road", also) and I thought that they were just to die for.

 Red lips. There is nothing sexier or more glamorous than red lips. No other lip color could ever top it. I think that Marilyn Monroe is just gorgeous, of course. But I REALLY envy her lips.

Bumped hair. Not Snooki-bumped. That's just trashy. But glamorously bumped, like Audrey's was. It's just so.. It makes such a statement.

You're So Vain, You Probably Think This Blog Is About You

A little Carly Simon reference. (For those of you who don't know good music, or didn't get the reference-- because you don't know good music--, watch the video below. It's for you, tweet hearts.)

So, we had a little confusion yesterday. And a little.. contradiction. So, let's set things straight:

1. This is MY place to talk about what I want to. If you don't like it, I'm sorry. You can NICELY talk to me about it, what you don't like, what you want changed. I might change it. Doubtful but I might. Attacking me, however, isn't going to get you your way.
2. My readers (the seven of you there are) have quite a bit of say over my blog. If they like something, I'll post more of it. If they don't like it, I'll either post less or (if I'm rather fond of it) I'll fill it in with something they like more. They just have to tell me.
3. Nobody is forcing you to read this. Now, I do like it when people read it and tell me that they read it. It kind of makes my day. But, just because I post the link, doesn't mean you have to read it. If you don't like what I'm saying, see #1 OR just don't read it. Won't break my heart.
4. This isn't about anybody in particular (sorry. No drama, loves.) but I have been noticing that people will harsh on facebook or twitter whatever they don't like. Which brings me to the next point.
5. Just because it talks about/mentions God does not mean that they are "shoving their religion down your throat." They're posting their beliefs on their page. Yes, I know, I posted a fight about God before. HOWEVER, I felt that those people were crossing the line. However, just because one of my friends posts "Trust in the Lord with all your heart,and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways and He will guide you on the right paths. Don't consider yourself to be wise; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones." (bother, if you're reading this, by the way. I stole this from your wall. Hope you don't mind. If so, I can always change/remove it.)

               They're posting their beliefs over there, on their page! (I just wanted to use all the their/there/they're-s in one sentence.) So.. I could go on forever. But I kind of don't feel like it. Just.. back off. It's not like they're on your wall all "oh hey, (name). You really need to go to church. 'cause.. you're gonna go to hell if you don't. God love you. You really need to go. Like ASAP. 'cause you're going to hell. Along with the gays." So just.. chill, people. Okay. Good night!

Mama

The other day, my grandmother gave me the WONDERFUL idea to post about my family and little things about everybody. So I thought that I would start with my mother. I kind of suck at writing in paragraphs (especially when I have a headache) so I'm just going to write in.. BULLETS!! *pew pew* So here you go! This is for you, Mama!!

1. People tell me that I look EXACTLY like my mother. They also confuse her as my sister a lot of the time. Which is quite funny. (She's 21 years older than I am-- teehee-- but she looks REALLY young for her age. Nobody believes that I'm her kid.)
2. She's, like, my best friend ever. I tell her everything. And, even though we fight, I still love her!! 
3. My belly bar makes her nervous. When we were going to get my piercing, I was the one that had to stay calm so she wouldn't freak out and want to leave. She also can't touch it (so weird to feel a metal bar running underneath my skin).
4. Her favorite color is purple. (Hence the text color for this blog. I know, I know. You prefer darker, jewel-tone, royal purples. But, if I typed it that dark, you couldn't read it.)
5. She loves big dogs, dark chocolate, and Scrooge with Alastair Simm. Her hair is naturally curly and she has uberly pretty brown eyes.
6. She is my belly dance buddy. And I think it's so funny to go to class with her. Like me, she is mischievous and sassy and it's so funny to see the mischief that she, Krystin, and Dicki get up to. (cherry, cherry, orange meow, ladies!! oooh and BUSH!)
7. I have never called her "mommy". It has always been "Mama"
8. When she was little, she gave her mother a thousand and one heart attacks. I was her calm-baby. Look where that got her!! Rainbow hair and piercings!!
9. I love her bunches and bunches!!

Tweeting While You're High

I've seen a growing trend of tweets and facebook posts while you're high (or drunk) and I would just like to say a few things.

1. You're, like, thirteen. I seriously doubt you're that messed up.
2. Taking a few sips (even a chug) of your dad's beer or your mom's wine does not count as getting drunk. So stop.
3. When your brother passes you the joint and you stick it in your mouth, you're supposed to inhale. Just because you touched pot does not mean you're high. Also, even if you do inhale, I seriously doubt one breath makes you high.
4. Even if you are high/drunk, you shouldn't post about it. It doesn't make you cool. "Oooh! Look! I can make irresponsible decisions!" that just screams "cool", doesn't it? No. It really doesn't. It just jacks up your life and you should probably GET OVER YOURSELF! Nobody is going to think that you're cool.
5. If you are truly THAT messed up, would you really be capable of typing everything perfectly? I don't think you.

All in all, it just irritates me when people think they're cool for posting how "high" they are. It doesn't make you seem cool. In fact, it just makes you seem immature and obnoxious. Nobody cares. Those who do, are probably high. And I don't think it would reflect well on your future career if 1) the cops caught you getting high because you're a moron for posting it or 2) your boss checked out your facebook/twitter and saw you posting about getting all high and acting cool. Just saying.. Well, nothing's impressive.
